About our Farm.

Howdy friends and welcome to Freedom Farm in cyberspace. Feels, looks, and tastes a bit different than the real thing but we hope you enjoy. Perhaps we'll meet sometime in person, at a farmers market or for your first day of work on the farm. We appreciate your support for local agriculture and urge everyone to continue their quest for healthy, flavorful foods grown chemical free and in your neighborhood.

Our 55 acre farm is nestled in the southwest corner of Freedom, Maine. We currently grow six acres of certified organic mixed vegetables, cut flowers, and culinary herbs, and naturally raised meat and fiber, and distribute these products to a variety of farmers' markets throughout the state including Portland, Orono, Belfast and Bar Harbor. We sell to a number of restaurants located in several different regions, and manage a community supported agriculture program. We also pasture a small flock of sheep that we breed and raise for quality meat and fiber.

What we grow:

Beans, beets, beet greens, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, collards, cucumbers, eggplant, fennel, garlic, arugula, mustard greens, pac choi, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce heads, salad greens, melon, watermelon, onion, parsnips, peas, sweet and hot peppers, potatoes, pumpkin, radish, rutabaga, shallot, spinach, summer and winter squash, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnips, and a variety of fresh herbs and cut flowers.
