Paul Cassidy | Paul died of cancer Dec.25, 1981. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Air Force and worked for the Town of Wilmington Water Department. He was the son of Melvin L. & Julia M. (Olivera) Cassidy - they passed away in 1989 & 1990. He was the brother of David S. of Florida, Nancy of Alaska and Melvin Jr. who passed away in 1988. He also was the father of Julie Ann Cassidy Mette Kelley of Tewksbury and Eileen Cassidy Frederickson of Pembroke NH. He was the sister in law of Terri Oconners Cassidy. David McCue | 20-Dec-2010 | Dave McCue died this morning. He was a sergeant on the Wilmington Police Dept. Incredibly brave, he went undercover about 40 years ago to bust some corrupt officers & brass in the MDC Police. ~ln Dave fought a courageous battle against colon cancer. It’s a shame he lost the battle so soon. He will be missed by all who knew him. - Judy Langone R.I.P Dave. I remember a good guy.... thanks Judy! - Marty (Doerfler) Henry I too am saddened by the news about Dave. My memories go way back to our days together with CYO! What a fun guy he was. TEWKSBURY -- John L. "Jack" O'Hara, 59, a Vietnam War veteran and resident of Tewksbury for 30 years, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, following a two-month battle with cancer. He was the husband of Ann M. (Gorman) O'Hara, with whom he celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on Nov. 23. He was born in Cambridge, Jan. 17, 1946, son of the late James and Rita (Sullivan) O'Hara. He was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1964. He later attended Lowell Technological Institute (now part of UMass Lowell) and graduated from the Northeast Technical Institute in Boston. Mr. O'Hara served during the Vietnam War in the Navy and was honorably discharged from active duty, Feb. 10, 1970. Mr. O'Hara was employed as a manufacturing engineer at Wang Laboratories of Tewksbury and Lowell for more than 20 years, and the Sanmina Corp., of Salem, N.H., for five years. He was currently working as a partner in a local business. Mr. O'Hara was a communicant of St. Dorothy's Parish in Wilmington. In earlier years, he served as a coach for several Tewksbury Little League baseball teams. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jack P. O'Hara of Tewksbury and his girlfriend, Suzanne Borba of Lowell and Brian J. O'Hara of Tewksbury; a brother and sister-in-law, James J. and Mary (O'Connell) O'Hara of Lowell; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Margaret (Hourihan) Gorman of Tewksbury; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Nancy and Robert Maida and Patti and Jack McLennan, all of Tewksbury; and three nieces and two nephews. -jl |
