It has been said that the Orono Farmers’ Market customer base is ‘small but mighty’ and we couldn’t agree more! The market is not possible without the support of community members, long-standing customers and new market shoppers alike. It is why, after more than thirty years, Orono Farmers’ Market is able to continue to provide the local, farm fresh foods and products you enjoy, within minutes from your front door.
The Orono Farmers’ Market is a membership-based organization of farmers and artisan food producers that host two weekly farmers markets during the “main” season and a twice-monthly market in the winter. This very dedicated group of farmers and artisan food producers attend the market year after year in all-weather and seasons to bring the best fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, coffee, meat, poultry, baked goods, maple products and prepared foods to you, our discerning customers.

A donation or contribution to the Orono Farmers’ Market Association would be a tremendous help in ensuring the financial health of our organization. Your donation will go directly to helping us meet the demands of paying for:

- Annual rent for our location at the University of Maine Steam Plant Parking Lot from May-October.
- Staffing the Info Booth where SNAP/EBT shoppers can use their EBT cards for market fresh foods.
- Funding to match EBT purchases with Maine Harvest Bucks, enabling SNAP/EBT shoppers to purchase more fruits and veggies.
