We also offer goat’s milk fudge and goat’s milk soap. We will be at market Saturdays only all season, and at the winter market from December through April. The Black Bear Food Guild is a small, motivated group of students at the University of Maine, growing three acres of organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Some of us are studying sustainable agriculture, some have grown up on farms, and for some of us, this is our first farming experience. I make sourdough breads, focacias, Italian breads, hearth breads and some sweet items like pies, muffins and cinnamon rolls. While specializing in a wide variety of old world breads, I also do special orders for holidays and special occasions, just give me a call and I’ll see what I can do for you. I also make a variety of cookies, pies, hummus, bruschetta, and tepenade. My pies are made from scratch and when possible use local fruit. The crust is made with vegetable shortening, flour, water, and salt. The crackers are wonderful too! I have been in business for about 15 years and my business is fully lisenced, state inspected, and insured. I will be at market on Saturdays from May through November.
