Rabbit problems often stem
from their interactions with the garden. They love just about
everything in the garden, including flowers. They also love the
smooth bark of fruit trees such as high bush blueberry and apple.
Control methods generally involve removing offending rabbits and
installing tree guards around trees or fences around gardens to
limit rabbits from entering in the future.

Another option would be to
allow rabbit hunters onto the property each year to keep the
population low, and consequently, incidences in the garden low.

Site modification includes
removal of potential cover areas. Brush piles, high grass, wood
debris can all provide cover rabbits need to escape from predators.
Removing these items can help discourage rabbits from getting to
close to areas you want left alone.
