We currently have a 3 acre
stand of wild Balsam Fir, Spruce, with a few Red Oak and Poplar.
Each year, as time allows, we try and thin out the stand to allow
the Balsam Fir to establish and dominate. Many of the trees are in
various levels of growth, from half a foot to 20 feet in height. We
try to thin a few trees each year so that young trees can develop
full branches all the way around. These trees are not managed as
carefully and often as a full time Christmas tree farm, so there is
often some off side, or an occasional missing lower branch on one
side.

We maintain many of the 6
foot trees as wreath trees, preferring to keep them topped off to
promote vigorous side shoots. The thinning helps to allow sunlight
all around and create nice, fat, full fir boughs.

Due to the location and
rough terrain at this time, all Christmas trees and wreaths are on a
pre-order basis only. If you desire to visit out bush, especially to
pick out a tree yourself, bear in mind our trail system is
undeveloped. We can transport your tree back to the house by four
wheeler for you, but we do not have a trailer large enough to
accommodate a family at this time. The walk may be a bit rugged for
some younger children or older adults.
