American Chestnut Foundation is doing tremendous work in bringing back the American chestnut tree. It has a Maine Chapter and there is a lot going on all around the state. Here is their news page .


Dennis Fulbright – Biological Control of Chestnut Blight You Tube video of Dennis explaining the discovery in Michigan of a naturally occurring virus that attacks the Chestnut Blight Fungus, and how to spread it. The virus weakens the fungus which then allows the blight-infected trees to recover.


Iowa Chestnut Primer In 2002 Tom Wahl wrote the Chestnut Primer. In 2017 he updated it with an additional 15 years of experience.
