Fedco is the go to source for many people, they offer online, catalog and tree sale (2 weekends per year) sales of a wide variety of bare root trees, shrubs and vines. All the standard fruit trees are well represented, with more limited selection of nuts and minor fruit. Quality is good, prices are fair, Fedco, a hybrid worker consumer co-op, does well by their workers, their community, and their suppliers (many of whom are in Maine).

This is an interesting site to help us access varieties for our northern areas. An impressive number of varieties of pears are listed as being tried, many that I have never heard of! How about hardy apricots developed in Saskatchewan, or plums from Edmonton? Toss in a few juneberries, apples of local origin and nut seedlings, and you have the fixings for an ambrosiatic experience.
